Meeting Our Mission

Work with youth to build a community to find identity and purpose through the bicycle.

  • We have grown to include a team of coaches and board members who support programming and development for more than 700 youth members and reach more than 300 non-member youth through clinics and collaborative programming.

  • 15% of NCYD programming is currently devoted to youth-specific career and educational development training. This will increase to 30% to train and employ more young people to staff NCYD programmatic activities and procure partnerships with other organizations who employ cycling instructors moving forward.

  • 75% of programming is devoted to year-round student-athlete cycling development by professional coaches who provide on-the-bike instruction in the community and in the NCYD facility. As a result of the broader mission, vision, and values of NCYD,, this number will decrease to 50% as we commit more resources to giving back to our communities.
